Inflation spiked fixed costs and a massive funding gap was left in our classrooms, forcing Texas public schools to shutter campuses, cut librarians, and layoff teachers. Making matters worse, the state refuses to adequately fund our classrooms, instead diverting scarce public tax dollars into private school vouchers.
