WHAT TO BRING ON ELECTION DAY
Texas requires one of seven approved photo IDs. Expired is okay as long as it has expired within the last four years. There is no expiration limit if you are 70 or older.

NO VOTER ID?
YOU CAN STILL VOTE
If you cannot reasonably obtain one, bring a supporting document — a utility bill, bank statement, government check, or your voter registration certificate — and sign a Reasonable Impediment Declaration at the polls.
TURNED AWAY AT THE POLLS?
DO NOT LEAVE.
You have the right to cast a provisional ballot. Ask for one, then call the Election Protection hotline before you walk out the door. Trained lawyers answer, it is free, and it is nonpartisan.
